Multitudes are in spiritual darkness under Satan’s domain; there is a veil that is spread out over the entire earth. We are called to bring those who are in darkness into the Kingdom of Light, delivering them from the power of Satan, unto God. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4). They need deliverance from spirits of blindness and ignorance. The Lord in his great love and mercy breaks the yokes of bondage. He removes the veil that covers the nations.
We are commissioned “to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up, until we all reach unity in the faith, and in the knowledge in the Son of God, and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. To be no longer infants…” (Ephesians 4:12-14) Everything that comes our way is Father filtered, and is intended to grow us up, that we would become mature and complete, not lacking anything. That we would no longer be tossed to and fro like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by life’s circumstances and the lies of the Devil. The Lord breaks the seals off his word and gives fresh revelation to equip the saints to walk in all that God has for them, so that we would be built up and restored as individuals, couples, families and as a Church.
The Lord spoke to me years ago and said, “There aren’t many preaching the cross anymore, it is the power of God unto Salvation.” I responded, “I’ll preach it Lord.” He then took me on a journey. In the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, the Lord lays out what he requires. If you want to be one of his followers (a Christian), you must take up the cross and follow him. The cross is a symbol of obedience. We must lay down our hopes, plans, dreams and desires, and obey him. Jesus, our Mighty Warrior, overcame the world the flesh and the Devil and is seated at the Father’s mighty right hand. He’s made a way for us and we need to follow in his footsteps. Paul said in Ephesians 2:6 that “we are seated with Christ in heavenly places.” This becomes a reality as we overcome the world, the flesh and the Devil, and then, we sit down on the great throne that has been prepared for the bride of Christ. After Jesus’ death and resurrection, he could have cast Satan and his cohorts into Hell, but he allowed the Devil to continue on throughout each generation to test the hearts of men and to separate those who love God and his kingdom, from those who love this present evil world. How do we prove our love for him? It is through obedience, by taking up the cross and saying, “Not my will but yours Lord.” The call to every generation has been to “Come out from among them and be separate, do not touch what is unclean. Though all the peoples of the earth are mine, if you obey me, you will be a treasured possession unto me, I will be your Father and you will be my sons and daughters. These are those the King gathers throughout each generation, these are those who make up his eternal kingdom.
